Honey Smoked Salmon® Charcuterie Board

Honey Smoked Salmon® Charcuterie Board

Create the perfect "Seacuterie" board, our take on a classic appetizer that is sure to satisfy! This recipe offers inspiration, but we encourage you to make it your own. There are no real measured amounts, just basic instructions on how to construct the platter. Your own personal preference is what will drive the items you’ll use to build it. Let your imagination run wild and have fun in putting it together.

Directions:

Step 1

Choose your platter. Depending on your party size. You could always use multiple platters if needed. Lay out some type of lettuce for a decorative boarder, we used standard Green Leaf Lettuce.

Step 2

Start with the cheese. We like to start with the cheese because it anchors the board. We used Goat Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Garlic and Herb Spreadable Cheese, Swiss, Cheddar and Colby (Blue cheese would also pair well).

Step 3

Add savory and sweet accompaniments. Fill in some of the gaps with savory and sweet. We used cut fruit, including Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Pineapple, Watermelon, Strawberries, Blueberries and Raspberries. We also added honey roasted pistachio nuts as another sweet. Separate colors in a way that allows the brightest colors to stand out and place foods together that pair well together. For example, pair sweet accompaniments like fresh fruit and candied nuts near the goat, brie or blue cheese. Cheddar cheese pairs well with savory and sweet.

Step 4

Place Honey Smoked Salmon®. For this assembly, we used our trio-pack which has 6 oz. each of Cracked Pepper; Sweet Bourbon and Chipotle Lime. Just place decoratively on platter to balance it out. We also included two flavors of our Honey Smoked Salmon® dip Original and Chipotle Lime which go exceptionally well with this application.

Step 5

Fill in extra space with crackers. We used a butter cracker, rice cracker and triangle shaped wheat cracker. Any remaining gaps can be filled in with nuts or fruit.

Note: Since this is a seafood-based platter, other seafood items such as shrimp cocktail, crab claws and oysters would be a great addition. Other nuts, jams and/or dried fruits would also be a wonderful accompaniment.
